There is such comfort in the words, the truth of, “I’ve been there.” Whatever we’re going through, someone else has walked a similar path and can understand what seems incomprehensible. Though I wouldn’t wish any of the hard things I’ve experienced on those I love, I’m thankful for friends and family, the Lord has prepared and placed in my life, who have already made the journey I’m taking and can offer guidance and most needed empathy.
